By downloading or using Ziggy ASL (“the app,” “we,” “our”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What the app is
Ziggy ASL is a personal, non-commercial American Sign Language learning app. It includes lessons, practice, and progress tracking for your own use.
2. Subscriptions
Some features require a Premium subscription. Pricing, free trials, billing, and cancellation are shown in the app and handled by Apple. Refunds follow Apple’s policies. We may change subscription options or pricing over time.
3. Educational content only
Lessons and signs are for general learning only. Sign language varies by region and community. The app is not a substitute for certified instruction, interpretation, or any professional advice. We do not guarantee any particular learning result.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer it, copy or resell its content, or use it in any way that violates the law or harms others. We may restrict access if these Terms are violated.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, branding, lessons, and media belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you only a limited right to use the app for personal learning.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; where that applies, our liability is limited as much as the law allows.
8. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
